Teacher Background: Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor
of Fine Arts in Printmaking from California State University, Long Beach and
brings a fine arts approach to the teaching of Photography. As well as
teaching, she's immersed in several creative processes, working with both
digital and silver-based photography as well as watercolor painting. Her
current favorite techniques include combining airbrush stenciling, Photoshop
and sewing to make original "wearable art".
Ms. Johnson's Photo course emphasizes art history and the cultural,
political, and historical context of photographs, in keeping with University
of California requirements. She also loves to help each student discover his
or her creativity!
