· Demonstrated the utility of a prototype U.S. military organization by refining its concept of operation, organizing a team and coordinating the movement of 40 personnel, their supplies and equipment between the U.S. and South America for a high-visibility training exercise.
· Prepared detailed budget estimates that allowed the controller to accurately allocate monetary resources for the fiscal year.
· Improved the efficiency of headquarters administration by setting up and implementing procedures for maintaining and processing all office documents.
· Bolstered U.S.- Haitian foreign relations while providing health care to over 1,000 Haitian citizens by coordinating the movement and employment of medical teams that prescribed and distributed over seven tons of medical supplies in Haiti.
· Increased seaport throughput by developing a standard operating procedure to control the arrival, processing and overseas shipment of over 3,000 vehicles and aircraft.
SABBATICAL Photographic Safari 1985
· Shot over 650 photographs of African fauna and flora during a nine-month safari that took me to wildlife parks in 12 countries in southern, central, and eastern Africa.
U.S. Peace Corps High School Science Teacher 1982 – 1985
· Improved school’s pass rate on an international standardized science examination by employing creative and thought-provoking teaching methods while working as teacher of science and mathematics.
· Unified the science department and upgraded science textbooks and teaching aids through a series of pro-active steps while working as department chairman at Ngwane Central High School, Swaziland, Southern Africa.
