If you need your academic advisor to write a letter of recommendation for you, you are responsible for downloading and completing the FULL Letter of Recommendation Packet.
Your packet must be given to your academic advisor by the following dates!!
October 12 (Monday) For EARLY applications and applications or scholarship forms with
November Or December deadlines
November 12 (Thursday) For all other applications/scholarships due January 1, 2010 or later
How do you know if you need a Letter of Recommendation?
- Letters of Recommendation may be required by some PRIVATE and/or out-of-state schools. They may also be needed for specific scholarships.
- Private colleges/universities will have one portion of the application that the counselor must fill out. It may be called a Secondary School Report or Counselor/Teacher Report. This must be submitted to the advisor along with the Aliso Niguel High School Letter of Recommendation Packet.
- Letters of Recommendation packets and instructions can be downloaded and printed. Complete the forms then turn in to your Academic Advisor. Remember, this form is to be used only for colleges that require a Letter of Recommendation specifically from your counselor/academic advisor.
- Allow a minimum of three weeks for your advisor or teacher to write a letter for submission by the due date.
- Be sure to write a thank you note to everyone who wrote a Letter of Recommendation for you
IMPORTANT NOTE: California State Universities and University of California (UC) college applications DO NOT require Letters of Recommendation
